  2. I found you guys last year somehow through Twitter and really loved the stuff you were creating with Blogger. I occasionally check the CF website to see what you guys are posting and drooling over the work, dreaming of one day hiring you guys to make my dream template.

Anyway, I was surprised to discover this week that you're here sharing your knowledge on this blog. I've been poking around this site since last night and love it. Especially the fact that you're distributing a couple of free templates.

I watched the G+ Hangout and wanted to chime in on Google Friend Connect. If my memory serves me right, a lot of the GFC features were (are)retiring for sites outside of Blogger. But the one benefit I can tell you of the Followers gadget is that it increases your subscribers. When you "follow" someone their blog gets added to the list of blogs you follow on your dashboard. So, if like me, a follower uses his/her Blogger dashboard as your RSS reader it makes it easy to keep up with blogs you like.

I installed the Followers gadget the moment GFC was released, and it doubled my subscriber count. I'm not sure what will happen to the Followers and with GFC as a whole in the future, but without it my subscriber count would be half of what it is.

    1. Thank you for reading! I'm keeping an eye on the followers, curious to see what they'll do for traffic and stickiness, thank you for chiming in! Yes, Google discontinued it for non-Blogger sites, but while it's still here I'm hoping to make the most of it.
